What is the Magic Theatre night?
The Magic Theatre is a night of completely un-themed dressing up freedom and the joy of a jolly good free-range romp around the dance floor . It's a chance to dust down that alter ego or have a go at a new one, and it’s very, very good fun! The evening is based around a good live band, with cabaret performance and a retro happy-dancing dirty blues-based soundtrack.

What is the dresscode?
The choice is yours, whether you’re into vintage, period costume, 70s afros, latex or twin-set and pearls….whether fabulously over the top, or elegantly understated, what you wear is entirely up to you. Please, please, please don’t risk a jeans/trainers ensemble though…you won't enjoy it as much, and you might not get in. Also, many of our guests delight in the opportunity to wear rather daring outfits, but to respect our happily mixed crowd and in keeping with the atmosphere of this glorious venue, we do stipulate that there should be NO nudity.

Is it really a single line queue for the bar?
Oh yes.... …..The Magic Theatre is held in London’s most historic ballroom, and old-fashioned courtesy rules here. And there is rarely a more effective way to engineer an introduction to the One who has caught your eye on the dance floor than to seize the chatting opportunity that is afforded by the Bar Queue. Admirably, drinks prices are old fashioned too. Hurrah!

Etiquette
Is really simple.....Magic Theatre-goers are a pretty diverse bunch of all ages - straight, gay, trans, and everything in between. It's all very tongue-in-cheek, and no-one takes themselves too seriously. The only rules are: be nice to people and look after the ballroom please.... Easy peasy!!

Can we speak to someone about the night?
Of course....we always respond to e-mails, and if you'd like to speak to someone in person, just email us with a contact number and a time of day that it's best to  call you.
